Intel® Xeon® Gold 6346 processor with 32 cores in use. An expert workstation configured with 512 GB memory and CentOS 8.5 operating system.

Intel® Xeon® Platinum 8368Q processor with 76 cores in use. An expert workstation configured with 256 GB memory and CentOS 8.3 operating system.

ROI methodology generally consisted of calculating the ratio of the differences in solver rating for the Ansys Mechanical or the Ansys Fluent benchmark models (with user selected solvers and model sizes) when run on the closest user baseline system configuration vs. a recommended new configuration. This ratio is then applied to the cost of user time spent running simulations (based on salary and percentage time spent on simulation provided by user) to cost savings.
